M-1 CHALLENGE 28 RESULTS 12 November 2011

M-1 Global presented M-1 CHALLENGE 28: EMELIANENKO VS MALIKOV on Saturday, November 12, 2011, at the Star Centre in Astrakhan, Russia.

Following in the footsteps of his brother Fedor Emelianenko's recent stumbles, Aleksander Emelianenko got knocked out in 23 seconds by MMA rookie Magomed Malikov. The 3-1 Ukrainian fighter just made his pro MMA debut at the beginning of this year. Now Malikov ends 2011 with a huge upset win over MMA royalty.

In the co-main event, Minnesotan Isaiah "The Striking Viking" Larson put his ground game on display with a second-round submission victory over Alikhan Magomedov.

M-1 Challenge 28 also featured the quarterfinals of the Middleweight Grand Prix. Gregory "Blade" Babene, Sunay Hamidov, Anatoly Tokov and Enoc Solves Torres all scored finishes in their opening round fights to advance to the semifinals of the 185-pound tournament.
