When the world's largest fight promotion goes north of the border for the third time this year it will do so with a couple of debuting prospects, as John Cholish and Mitch Clarke have agreed to throw leather at the upcoming UFC 140 event on Dec. 10 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Sherdog.com brought word of the pending match-up earlier today.
Cholish makes his Octagon debut on the strength of seven consecutive victories, including a second-round kneebar submission win over former Ultimate Fighter (TUF) contestant Marc Stevens at the Strikeforce: "Fedor vs. Silva" event back in February of this year.
Clarke, meanwhile, is the native Canadian with a spotless record and six submission wins in nine career fights. His birthplace no doubt plays a big part in his participation on the card, but he certainly has a good enough resume for the UFC to take him for a spin.
UFC 140 is set for Dec. 10 at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. There have been many bouts rumored for the event but none have been officially announced by the promotion.
