Jose Aldo reveals a medical suspension will keep him out of UFC 133, not an injury

UFC featherweight champion, Jose Aldo has revealed that a medical suspension picked up while competing in Canada just last month is the reason he won’t be taking on Chad Mendes on the UFC 133 card on August 6th in Philadelphia, not injury.
Posting via his Twitter page Aldo said:
“Let me be clear I’m not hurt again, I’m not hurt. I picked up a suspension (from) the Canadian commission and therefore should only return to training (after) 30 days this month. So once again, I’m not injured.”
Aldo revealed that he won’t be ready for the event in Philadelphia but would be able to compete on the next major Pay-Per-View which goes down in Rio de Janeiro Brazil just three weeks later. Strange then that Mendes seems to be more than happy to forego his shot at the belt and compete on the August 6th card.
