Anderson Silva says he’ll never fight Jon Jones but he’s more than happy to face Georges St. Pierre

UFC middleweight champion, Anderson Silva has revealed he’d never want to face his friend, Jon Jones inside the octagon despite fans clamouring to see the two men go to war, but he’d happily take on Georges St. Pierre if the two men pass their respective upcoming tests.
The following remarks were made to Esportes.r7.com over the past week…
On fighting Jones:
“No chance, he’s in a different weight class, we are friends and we won’t fight each other.”
On fighting St. Pierre:
“There is a chance there, everything will depend on our results. It depends on him winning at UFC 129 and me winning in August (against Yushin Okami). And from there, who knows, this fight could take place.”
Silva could take on St. Pierre at the end of the year on the annual super card in Las Vegas, Nevada if the stars align, giving the Canadian eight months to pack on the extra weight he feels he needs to compete in the 185 pound weight division. Stay tuned to MMABay for more on this as we get it.
