UFC Fight Night 24 results: Amir Sadollah forces DaMarques Johnson to tap to strikes

A couple of Ultimate Fighter (TUF) stars were on the card to help entice a few potential Spike TV viewers, as TUF season nine finalist DaMarques Johnson took on TUF season seven winner Amir Sadollah.
Who proved they were the true TUF guy (at least between each other)?
That would be Sadollah, who was out-wrestled in the opening round but roared back to ground and pound his way to a second round submission (via strikes) win.
Johnson, who was a late replacement of a late replacement, looked fresh and on point to start the fight but appeared to fade in the second stanza, albeit with the help of a few power shots to the dome.

Heading in, Sadollah remarked that he had heard through the old grapevine that Johnson had been working on his wrestling in preparation for this bout.
It seemed to work well for him, at least at first, but he simply couldn't keep up with the blistering pace set by Amir, who pressed forward despite getting taken down multiple times.
He made it a brawl when he could and sapped all of his opponent's energy in the process, leading to a takedown of his own that paved the way for him to pour it on and force the tap from his overwhelmed foe.
That's four wins in five fights for Sadollah. Time for a step up in competition?
