Charlie Brenneman happy to be a part of the UFC’s welterweight division, not in any hurry right now

UFC welterweight star on the rise, Charlie Brenneman has been speaking about his future at 170 pounds in the near future, explaining he’s not interested in taking on the bigger names and is more interested in taking smaller steps at this stage of his career.
Speaking via Sherdog.com, Brenneman said:
“I’m looking to fight someone who is at my level in the UFC. I’m not really in a hurry to fight top contenders at this point. I’m improving by leaps and bounds each fight, so I’m happy taking my time. It’s a testament to the hard work I’ve been putting in. Every single day, I work to get better, and I absolutely hate losing, so it makes for a nice week of relaxation.”
“I want to build a streak, three, four wins in a row, and put myself in good standing with the UFC and the fans. I’ll be back training ASAP.”
Brenneman was last in action at UFC Fight Night 23 in Fort Hood, Texas, defeating Amilcar ALves via unanimous decision on the night, rebounding from a second round TKO defeat at the hands of Johny Hendricks over the summer months.
