DaMarques Johnson Released By The UFC

The ‘Darkness’ DaMarques Johnson (16-12) has been released by the Ultimate Fighting Championship promotion following his third straight loss inside the Octagon,the former “The Ultimate Fighter” season nine welterweight finalist stepped in on short notice this past Friday night to take on Icelandic newcomer Gunnar Nelson on the preliminary card of UFC on FUEL TV 5.
Johnson was finished via rear-naked choke in the first round of their catchweight bout. Both fighters had agreed to 175-lbs cacthweight limit after Johnson stepped in for Pascal Krauss on very short notice. And now is looking for another banner to fight under.
