Sean Sherk eyes a return to the octagon before the year is out

Former UFC lightweight champion, Sean Sherk has revealed that he wants to fight again inside the world famous octagon before the year is out after suffering injury at UFC 119 during a split decision win over top prospect, Evan Dunham.
Speaking via MMAJunkie.com, Sherk said:
“There’s a lot of guys out there with momentum. When I do get a fight scheduled, I want to fight someone who has a lot of momentum, who is a top contender, and somebody who has worked their way up the ladder.”
“I feel that I’m at the top of the food chain in the UFC still. I have been for a long time, longer than anybody in my division. I’ve been at the top of the food chain in two different weightclasses. So if I fight somebody, I want them to have something to offer me. That’s all I want.”
Sherk will face tough competition if he wants another run at the title with the likes of Jim Miller, Clay Guida and Melvin Guillard all vying for the position of number one contender at 155 pounds. Can “The Muscle Shark” get his act together and reign supreme as the king of the division once more? Tell us what you think…
