In a busy day for Strikeforce welterweight slugger, Paul “Semtex” Daley it has been revealed that the British slugger has been signed to face former UFC star, Luigi Fioravanti on October 21st in Montreal, Quebec, Canada as part of the Ringside 12 event. Ringside announced the fight on Monday as the main event of the evening with both men likely having signed their bout agreements.
Strikeforce have cleared the Brit to compete as he doesn’t feature in their plans for the remainder of 2011. The knockout artist was last seen in action just a few short months ago when he was stopped by then champion, Nick Diaz in the first round via TKO.
Fioravanti will return to action looking to break a two-fight skid after losing to Joe Doerksen and Andrei Semenov. Prior to that he’d won five in a row and looked to be heading back to the octagon for a second term.
