Vitor Belfort: The world wants me to rematch the insecure hands of Anderson Silva

In case you hadn't heard, the entire world wants to see Vitor Belfort rematch Anderson Silva.
That's according to "The Phenom," who's hoping to exact revenge on the UFC middleweight champion at some point in the not-too-distant future.
Belfort had his face re-arranged by his fellow Brazilian in the main event of their UFC 126 title fight earlier this year and has been champing at the bit to get back in action and redeem himself following his Las Vegas "Spider" bite.
He originally called out Wanderlei Silva, but "The Axe Murderer" instead opted for a 185-pound clash against the hot-and-cold Chris "The Crippler" Leben.
With Nate Marquardt headed south and Chael Sonnen fighting the law, Belfort is running out of eligible opponents and tells UFC Sem Limites (via ESPN.co.uk) he would gladly give the champ another go-round -- except Silva is the only man on earth who doesn't want the fight to come to fruition.

"I don't believe in luck. The more you train the more luck you have, but certainly that was a hit that he will land once out of one thousand attempts. In the moment that I stopped, I didn't expect that he could land with that kick. Nobody, not even himself, expected that. He was shocked by the way he landed the kick and with the result of it. I would like to get the rematch to be sure. It left a bad taste because I know I was feeling very well. Everybody says I was superior in the beginning of the battle, looking for the fight, and I know he was insecure to trade with the hands. But Anderson is a very versatile fighter, he is very intelligent and has been coming off a sequence of wins while I came from injury. His timing inside the Octagon weighed a little. The moment I stood still, he caught me and executed me. But obviously I would like a revenge, a second chance. I think not only me but also everybody from Brazil and rest of the world wants it."

And there you have it.
Belfort  (19-9) is an even 1-1 since his return to the Octagon in September 2009. After pasting Rich Franklin at UFC 103, the Brazilian sat on the sidelines to undergo surgery for a bum shoulder that put his UFC 112 title fight on hold.
Now he's back and ready to make another run at the 185-pound title. But is he correct in his assessment that "the world" wants to see him get another crack at "The Spider?"
Or does he need to rack up a few wins at middleweight before getting a second shot?
