Believe me, no one will blame you.
It's unfortunate, too, considering how impressive Herman's resume is. At just 26-years-old and having been active for less than five years, "Pee-Wee" has amassed a 20-2 record spanning no less than seven promotions.
Not only that, he's exactly the kind of finisher UFC President Dana White is so very fond of. Out of 22 career fights, just one has made it to the judges scorecards. On top of that, 18 of his 20 wins have come inside the first round.
Enough to get you interested?
Herman -- and UFC -- hopes so. It might be tough, though, when you take into consideration the reputation of his opponent. That is to say, he doesn't have one.
Jon Olav Einemo is a dangerous and crafty submission ace with a well documented grappling background that includes an Abu Dhabi Combat Club (ADCC) championship.
There's just one problem: he hasn't competed in MMA in nearly five full years.
In fact, it wouldn't be much of a stretch to call the Norwegian a part-time fighter. He fought twice in 2000, just once in 2001, twice again in 2003, then a pair of bouts in 2006.
During that span he recorded six victories (five submissions, one technical knockout, all within the first round) and one loss (decision).
So, again, no one will blame you for being unfamiliar with "The Viking." But make no mistake, he's a deadly martial artist fighting out of an elite camp with Golden Glory.
Put it like this -- he trains with Strikeforce Heavyweight Champion Alistair Overeem ... 'nuff said.
Fight fans will need to treat this bout as more than just a bathroom break tonight to get the full scope of each fighters abilities. With so much at stake, you can bet it would be a wise decision to do so.
