TUF 14 Finale, Michael Bisping vs. "Mayhem" Miller headliner slated for Dec. 3

The live finale for the next installment of "The Ultimate Fighter" is slated for Dec. 3.

As previously reported, the event – The Ultimate Fighter 14 Finale – is headlined by a middleweight bout between the season's coaches: Michael Bisping (21-3 MMA, 11-3 UFC) and Jason "Mayhem" Miller (24-7 MMA, 0-1 UFC).

MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) confirmed the event date with an event source.

The event is expected to take place in Las Vegas, though a venue has not been set. (The past nine live finales have taken place at The Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort.) The Nevada State Athletic Commission hasn't added the show to its schedule, though that's not uncommon six months out from a show.

The Ultimate Fighter 14 Finale's main card airs live on Spike TV.

"TUF 14," which begins production this month in anticipation of a September debut on Spike TV, features bantamweight and featherweight fighters for the first in the series' six-year history. They initially were going to be coached by Bisping and Chael Sonnen, but Miller ultimately got the call because of Sonnen's ongoing issues with the California State Athletic Commission and his inability to get a "second's" (cornerman's) license from the NSAC prior to the start of production.

Bisping, a "TUF 3" winner who also coached on "TUF 9," has won three straight fights and four of his past five. The British fighter's lone loss during the stretch came to Wanderlei Silva via closely contested decision. Ready to make his 15th UFC appearance, the 32-year-old is looking for another signature win to get him his first-ever shot at the UFC's middleweight title.

Miller, who recently joined the UFC following a falling-out with former home Strikeforce, makes his first UFC appearance since a decision loss to Georges St-Pierre at UFC 52 in 2005. Since then, the 30-year-old is 12-3, which included winning an ICON Sport title and victories over notables such as Robbie Lawler and Tim Kennedy. He's 3-1 (with one no-contest) over his past five fights; the lone defeat came to Jake Shields in a fight for the vacant Strikeforce title.
