Scott Coker reveals there have been “preliminary discussions” over Dan Henderson vs. Fedor Emelianenko

Strikeforce CEO, Scott Coker has today revealed that there have been “preliminary discussions” over a possible fight between MMA legends, Dan Henderson and Fedor Emelianenko, although little other details were revealed at this time.
Posting via his Twitter page, Coker said:

“There have been “preliminary discussions only” for Hendo vs. Fedor. Wouldn’t be in June/July when Hendo wants to fight next.”

A couple of things spring to mind about this situation, the first being the timing of the fight. It was only revealed two weeks ago that Fedor would likely feature on a mid-July card for the promotion which makes it strange for Coker to say that a June or July date wouldn’t happen. The other thing of course would be what weight the fight would take place, especially with “Hendo” being the current light heavyweight champion.
