UFC 132 may have suffered another body blow today after it was revealed that former lightweight champion, B.J. Penn is on the verge of pulling out of the event after picking up an injury during training earlier this week.
According to a report by the Wrestling Observer “The Prodigy” is set to have an MRI scan later this week to access the damage and make a decision on whether or not to compete on July 2nd after he knows the full facts.
Ironically Penn was waiting to hear who he would face at UFC 132 after Jon Fitch pulled out of their scheduled rematch just last week. Anthony “Rumble” Johnson and Carlos Condit had been keen to fill the vacated spot.
