Brandon Vera ready Eliot Marshall at UFC 137.

Former highly touted prospect Brandon Vera will now be in a must win bout against Eliot Marshall at UFC 137 in Las Vegas, Nevada. After losing to Thiago Silva the Muay Thai specialist was cut from the UFC, but after a serious of events turning the bout into a No Contest, Vera will get another chance and has the mindset to win.

"(I'm going in with the mindset) to whoop his ass, the samething always, to whoop his ass" Vera said of his upcoming bout with Eliot Marshall "That's what I'm looking for in the fight, to whoop his ass."

Vera will be returning to the UFC after spending a brief time cut from the roster. With a renewed focus Vera will be looking to pick up a win as he trains with Team Alliance and Team Lloyd Ervin as he prepares for his bout at UFC 137, Vera says its a big deal to be apart of Ervin's team.

"Team Lloyd Ervin is no joke." Vera said of his long time training camp "If your apart of Team Lloyd Ervin and you can say your apart of Team Lloyd Ervin that's a big deal"

The light heavyweight stand-up artist will be participating on the UFC 137 preliminary card against Eliot Marshall. Vera will be looking to pick up his first win since his unanimous decision win over Krzysztof Soszynski as his opponent Eliot Marshall will be will be hoping to keep his job with the UFC after losing to Luiz Cane in his last bout.
