UFC 140 draws $3.9 million live gate

Saturday's "UFC 140: Jones vs. Machida" event drew a reported 18,303 attendees and generated a live gate of $3.9 million.

The event marked the company's second-ever event in Toronto and first since this past April's record-breaking UFC 129 event.

The UFC held three 2011 events in Canada, with this past June's UFC 131 show taking place in Vancouver.

The number of complimentary tickets issued for the nearly sold-out show was not revealed, but the reported figures indicate the UFC generated an average revenue of $213.08 per ticket issued.
