UFC Quick Quote: Ross Pearson plans to 'mix it up' against Edson Barboza on Aug. 27 at UFC 134

"I wanna mix it up. I wanna stay in his face. I wanna make him fight, ya know? I'm not gonna stand there and try to be all flashy like he is. I'm gonna get in his face and I'm gonna make him fight. That's how I'm gonna go in there. Whether I take it to the floor, whether we stand head-to-toes and box ... I'm know I'm gonna go in there fight. That's all I'm gonna do: FightWe've studied his (Barboza's) style a lot. I went out of my way to do an extensively long camp. I've had guys in the gym, sparring with me the way Edson fights. I'm prepared and ready to go, man."
-- Edson Barboza has been running through cats. With an undefeated (8-0) mixed martial arts (MMA) record, the Brazilian is becoming one of the more dangerous fighters in the lightweight division. His Muay Thai is some of the best in the division, if not all of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). You'd think Ross Pearson would be coming into their fight this weekend wary of standing and trading with Barboza, who has been victorious in both of his promotional appearances to date. But that's not what he told MMA Interviews. Is it a good idea for "The Real Deal" to meet Barboza in the middle and throw hands? Would he better served to try and get the fight to the canvas?
