UFC 134 – Mike Swick forced to withdraw after injuring his knee in training

UFC veteran, Mike Swick has been forced to withdraw from his UFC 134 clash with Erick Silva on August 27th in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil after injuring his knee in training, once again putting a hitch into his stuttering career as a top-flight fighter.
On Thursday evening the UFC posted via it’s website:
“Mike Swick’s long-awaited comeback to the Octagon will have to wait a little longer after he was forced to withdraw from his UFC 134 bout against Erick Silva due to injury. A replacement opponent for the debuting Silva will be announced shortly.”
Swick hasn’t been seen in action since UFC 109 in February 2010, losing out to Paulo Thiago that night via submission to make it back-to-back losses inside the octagon. He was due to return to action on the UFC “Fight for the Troops” 2 event in January but had to once again pull out.
