Tachi Palace Fights 10: "Let the Chips Fall" took place last night (Aug. 5, 2011) from the Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino in Lemoore, California.
The nine-fight card saw the crowning of a new champion in both the featherweight and much less heralded but highly entertaining flyweight divisions.
In the main event of the evening, WEC veteran Ian McCall captured the 125-pound title by submitting Darrell Montague with a rear-naked choke in the third round, snapping the former champs six-fight win streak.
And with the UFC's plan to add a flyweight division possibly as soon as next year, these fellows could find themselves entertaining a much wider audience sooner rather than later.
In the co-featured fight of the night, Eddie Yagin claimed the vacant 145-pound strap by tapping out former Bellator champ Joe Soto with a guillotine in the very first round.
But that's not all.
