Royce Gracie once again declares he’d love one more fight inside the octagon but he’s at peace if it doesn’t happen

Pioneer of the sport of mixed martial arts, Royce Gracie has today revealed he’d still like to fight one more time inside the UFC’s octagon even though he was snubbed for the promotions show this weekend in his home country of Brazil before adding if it doesn’t happen then he’s found peace with the situation.
Speaking via MMAFighting.com, Gracie said:
“If it happens, good. If it doesn’t happen, good. Been there, done that. You have to know when to stop in this sport. It’s very hard. I saw an interview from BJ Penn. He was saying it’s very hard to stop because when you’re a fighter, you’re a fighter. But you have to know when to stop.”
On the UFC returning to Brazil this weekend for UFC 134, Gracie added:
“It’s good it’s in Brazil. It’s back where it all started with my father. It’s coming back home. There’s so much talent in Brazil, so many guys that will probably never get discovered. It’s a chance for them to come out and train more. After all, UFC today became a job, it became a sport. Kids wake up in the morning and say, ‘I want to be a UFC fighter one day, just like they do in baseball.”
Gracie had been rumoured for a possible rematch with Matt Hughes on the UFC 134 card before the man from Illinois was promptly matched up with Diego Sanchez on a fight card later this year. Does the legend of the sport have one fight left in him and should it happen within the confines of the octagon?
