UFC on Versus 5 – Charles Oliveira steps up at short notice to take on Donald Cerrone next month

UFC lightweight wizz-kid, Charles Oliveira has agreed to be trust back into action next month when the UFC touches down in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for the UFC on Versus 5 card, stepping in at short notice to take on former WEC title challenger Donald Cerrone on the main card of the evening.

The news was confirmed to a number of news outlets earlier today including MMABay.co.uk by a source close to the situation with Oliveira stepping in for the injured Paul Taylor.

Oliveira is coming off a rather controversial no-contest result against Nik Lentz just last month, kneeing the powerhouse in the face during the second round before choking him out. He had been expected to take on Joe Lauzon on the UFC 138 card later in the year.
As for Cerrone, he picked up his second straight win inside the octagon when he defeated Vagner Rocha via unanimous decision. His previous win was a second round submission of British banger, Paul Kelly.
