The promotion officially announced the fight earlier today via it’s website meaning both men have likely inked bout agreements already.
Pettis made an unsuccessful octagon debut when he was outworked by Clay Guida on “The Ultimate Fighter” season thirteen finale show last month. Prior to that he’d been the last man to capture the WEC title with a spectacular win over Benson Henderson
Stephens also featured on the June card in Las Vegas, Nevada, defeating the durable Danny Downes via unanimous decision. He also holds wins over the likes of Marcus Davis and Sam Stout.
