Alistair Overeem set to return in MMA bout at United Glory event in October

Alistair Overeem will return to action this coming October; just like he said he would. But it won't be under  the Zuffa umbrella.
That's because "The Reem" has been booked to get busy at an upcoming United Glory event in Moscow, Russia. As you can see in the above poster, his presence will be heavily promoted.
No opponent has been named but it was announced that he would compete on the MMA portion of the card.
Overeem recently made headlines for his very public removal from the Strikeforce heavyweight grand prix due to a lingering toe injury. Showtime booked a Sept. 10 date for the continuation of the tournament and when it was decided "Demolition Man" couldn't make that early of a return he was pulled in favor of Daniel Cormier.
UFC President Dana White was quoted as saying that he is still under contract with Strikeforce and Showtime, for one more fight, and as soon as he's healthy, he will return to the Hexagon.
