UFC heavyweight Junior dos Santos severs ties with manager Ed Soares

UFC heavyweight Junior dos Santos recently announced on his Twitter account that he is no longer under the representation of his now former manager, Ed Soares.
You know Ed; he's the manager (and translator) of such Black House fighters as Anderson Silva and Jose Aldo. His list of clientele is as impressive as any other management team in the sport.
But it won't include "Cigano" any longer.
That must really hurt for Soares, who managed the Brazilian for years and is being ditched right as dos Santos is about to challenge for the heavyweight title.
The venerable manager talked to Tatame and expressed discontent at his firing but added "JDS is the captain of his own boat" and if he wants to go in another direction, that's his prerogative.
Dos Santos has since signed on with Ana Claudia Guedes and Guedes Group.
