Jose Aldo still waiting to hear when he’ll face Kenny Florian, plans on studying his weak points

UFC featherweight champion, Jose Aldo has revealed that he’s still waiting to hear when and where he’ll square off with newly appointed number one contender, Kenny Florian inside the octagon and that when he does he’ll be sitting down and studying all of the Bostonian’s weaknesses.
Speaking via Tatame Magazine, Aldo said:
I saw the fight as a fan, so it’s hard to get that clinical look. I watched it as a fan, I was cheering for Diego, so I couldn’t observe anything, I just saw its whole, especially since it was quick. Usually, when you’re watching as a fan, you don’t analyze it, you get yourself being caught by that feeling that you have, wanting your teammate to win. So I didn’t see it as a study, but we’re still waiting. When it’s confirmed, we’ll sit down and sees his strong and weak points to set a game plan.”
“Every time Ultimate has an opponent for me, I’ll fight him. If it’s Kenny Florian, I’ll get there and do my job. I’m an employee, so the boss is Dana White, Lorenzo, Joe… I just have to get there and win, independently if the guy I’m fighting deserved to be there in the first place or not. It’s up to them to decide. I just want to add good things for Ultimate. So, if they tell me to fight Kenny, it’s ok by me. If they think he deserves it, I don’t see a problem. I’ll get there and do my best.”
Florian made a successful debut at featherweight in his last fight inside the octagon, defeating friend and training partner of Aldo, Diego Nunes on the UFC 131 card in Vancouver, Canada. Aldo was due to defend his title next in September only for an injury to rule him out and number one contender, Chad Mendes, decided to take another fight.
