Donald Brashear & Patrick Cote Pick Up Wins at Ringside 11

Ringside MMA 11: "Cote vs Brown" took place last night, June 4, 2011, at the Colisee Pepsi Arena in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
The event was notable for featuring two slightly high profile names. The main event of the evening featured UFC veteran Patrick Cote taking on fellow former Octagon warrior Todd Brown.
"The Predator" caused a stir in the lead-up to the bout by slapping Brown in the face at the weigh-ins leading to a short scuffle. He went out and backed it up last night, as well, controlling his opponent en route to a unanimous decision victory.
It was Cote's second win in a row since his Zuffa release, as he previously notched a decision win over Kalib Starnes this past April. A win or two away from another shot at the UFC?
Stay tuned.
Also in action was former NHL enforcer Donald Brashear, who was making his highly publicized MMA debut in a heavyweight bout against Mathieu Bergeron.
It didn't take long for Brashear to make his presence felt, knocking out Bergeron in just 21 seconds. At 39 years-old, the former hockey star isn't likely to make a splash but having won a fight at all, this late in the game, is impressive, indeed.
