... Because the U.S. Army Green Beret wanted to be the one to get the job done, according to a "special" update from the "forces" behind his official Facebook page:
I find myself kind of sad that Osama Bin Laden is dead. I have fantasized about killing him almost as much as zombies... I will have to find a replacement.
When the Strikeforce middleweight contender isn't out killing terrorists (or zombies), he's keeping busy for his superior officers in San Jose, where he currently stands at 4-1 inside the hexagon.
Kennedy suffered a disappointing unanimous decision loss to Ronaldo Souza when they tangled back at the "Houston" event in August 2010, one that saw "Jacare" claim the vacant 185-pound strap and send the super-soldier to his first loss in over three years.
He quickly bounced back on March 5 and made short work of Dutch import Melvin Manhoef, who was able to demonstrate improved ground skills for about 45-seconds prior to getting strangled by way of rear naked choke.
Now that Zuffa has acquired the Strikeforce brand, there's no telling where Kennedy fits into the current 185-pound landscape but a rubber match against "Mayhem" Miller, who will make his UFC debut against Aaron Simpson later this year, is always an option.
In the meantime, Kennedy will have to settle for the walking dead. Unless another terrorist decides to step on his own dick.
