Despite rumours emerging earlier today that a champion vs. champion bout between Georges St. Pierre and Nick Diaz would be signed before the end of next week UFC President, Dana White has felt it necessary to inform us that the fight hasn’t been signed as of today. Speaking via the Underground Forum Dana said:
“This is not true. There is no deal done with Diaz to fight [GSP].”
The two have been rumoured to be in line for the main event at UFC 140 on December 10th in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, with it even rumoured that the fight could be signed as early as next week and made official. So that said Dana’s statement that it’s not already signed doesn’t come as a surprise but keep a keen eye out in the next seven days.
