Speaking to MMABay.co.uk via media conference call, Henderson said:
“Not that I’m not fazed by it, but it’s not the biggest deal. We are fighting and training accordingly and trying to emulate the hostile environment.”
When asked about a possible rematch with Anthony Pettis, the man to defeat him in such spectacular fashion at the back end of 2010, the man dubbed “Smooth” said:“I think there’s only one way to find out how he’d fare in a rematch and I’d love to find out. Before I retire, I will absolutely face him again and it definitely will be a very fun fight for me when I face him again.”
Henderson had looked unbeatable in the WEC ranks after capturing the title last year, defeating the likes of Jamie Varner and Donald Cerrone to build a ten-fight winning streak. That run was brought to an end though when he lost via unanimous decision to Anthony Pettis just last month at WEC 53.
