Randy Couture hopes to stay involved with the UFC and Zuffa by taking a political or commentary role in the future

Five-time UFC champion, Randy Couture has revealed that he’s looking to stay a part of the UFC and Zuffa family following his retirement from the sport later this month, explaining a political role or perhaps a job behind the microphone once again would be options.
Speaking to MMABay.co.uk this week via teleconference call, Couture said:
“I’m sure they’re probably going to have ideas for other fights, they’re going to try to entice me into coming back and fighting again and I anticipate all those decisions. But, we’ll see how that goes. I see myself hopefully being with the UFC and Zuffa and getting involved in some other way, shape or form.”
“I know there are a lot of things to be done politically in a lot of places, certainly New York State comes to mind. But I enjoyed commentating when I did that for a couple years, that’s someplace I see myself going back to and kind of continuing to give that fighter’s perspective in the booth for Pay-Per-Views. So, we’ll see what Zuffa wants to do and how they want to keep me involved.”
Couture has a tricky task ahead of him later this month in what will likely be his last ever fight inside the octagon when he takes on the always dangerous and elusive karate master, Lyoto Machida at UFC 129 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Stay tuned to MMABay for more build-up to this one as we get it.
