Michael Johnson vs. Edward Faaloloto slated for UFC on Versus 4

A lightweight bout between "The Ultimate Fighter 12" runner-up Michael Johnson (8-5 MMA, 0-1 UFC) and recent WEC fighter Edward Faaloloto (2-1 MMA, 0-0 WEC) has been added to June's UFC on Versus 4 event.

UFC officials today announced that verbal agreements are in place for the fight.

UFC on Versus 4 takes place June 24. The event marks the UFC's Pittsburgh debut and takes place at the 19,000-seat Consol Energy Center.

Johnson vs. Faaloloto likely will be part of the untelevised preliminary card.

Johnson suffered a decision loss to "TUF 12" champion Jonathan Brookins at the live finale in December. Johnson defeated Pablo Garza, Aaron Wilkinson, Alex "Bruce Leroy" Caceres and Nam Phan to make it to the finales, where he started strong but dropped the final two rounds of the fight. The defeat snapped a three-fight win streak Johnson had built in his home state of Missouri.

Faaloloto, meanwhile, signed with the WEC in late 2010 after just two wins under the X-1 banner in his home state of Hawaii. But after a loss to Anthony Njokuani at WEC 52, he was moved to the UFC with many other fighters as part of the UFC-WEC merger.
