Who should take on Michael Bisping next inside the octagon? MMABay Poll Results

We’ve been asking you all week who you think should be the next man to go head-to-head with controversial UK middleweight, Michael Bisping inside the octagon and it seems there is one man that stands head-and-shoulders above the rest in this debate.
Of course the man we’re talking about is none other than former title contender and king of the trash-talkers, Chael Sonnen who picked up a massive 56% (342 votes). Many believe that these two would make fantastic coaches on a forthcoming season of “The Ultimate Fighter” where they would be in close proximity to each other for six weeks. Either way Sonnen has already begun to ramp up the verbal assault despite no official word from the Las Vegas based promotion about a fight with the Brit. First came the “Michael Spitsbing” insult, followed by a claim that “The Count” needed to personally apologise to him or he’d for his actions at UFC 127 be axed from the UFC ranks. The biggest question of all with this pick is, does the UFC have the balls to put this one together? Will they risk further damaging the reputation of one of their most prized international assets by throwing him to the wolves (in a verbal sense) and seeing how he copes with the abuse? We should find out soon enough…
Second on the list with 27% (163 votes) was former light heavyweight champion and the last man to challenge Anderson Silva for the middleweight crown, Vitor Belfort. “The Phenom” has long lobbied for the chance to go head-to-head with Bisping and was actually the first man to call for the UFC to put this one together following the Brit’s last fight. With heavy hands which are fast as lightening, few would doubt Belfort’s credentials to be a real test for “The Count” despite the flash knockout loss at the hands of “The Spider” just last month. Just what the doctor ordered for everyone? We’ll see…
The other three names on the list that didn’t really float your boat were current middleweight contender, Anderson Silva with a respectable 9% (57 votes), another Brazilian and the last man to defeat Bisping inside the octagon, Wanderlei Silva with 5% (33 votes) and bringing up the rear with just 3% (18 votes) was a rematch with the man that got under the Brit’s skin in the first place, Jorge Rivera.
