UFC 134 – Johnny Eduardo signed to face Raphael Assuncao on August 27th in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Brazilian veteran, Johnny Eduardo has signed a multi-fight deal with the UFC this week and is expected to make his octagon debut against former WEC star, Raphael Assuncao on the UFC 134 card on August 27th in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Officials from the UFC broke the news just hours ago via the promotions Twitter page meaning bout agreements are likely in place on both sides.
Eduardo will enter the octagon on an impressive eleven fight winning streak dating back to 2008, finishing all but two of his opponents during that run. He is 25-8 overall in his MMA career and last August defeated Paulo “Guerreiro” Dantas for the Shooto 143 pound title.
As for Assuncao, this will be his first fight in the bantamweight division after failing to impress last time out against Erik Koch at UFC 128. He was originally due to face Darren Uyenoyama  on August 27th but the fight was scratched due to contract issues.
