A heavyweight clash between former Sengoku roster member, Dave Herman and former Bellator slugger, Joey Beltran appears to be in the works for UFC 131 on June 11th in Vancouver, Canada.
According to MMAWeekly.com, Beltran will step in for British heavyweight, Rob Broughton who has pulled out of the fight after apparently picking up an injury in training.
Herman has amassed an impressive 20-2 record over the years, with the majority of his wins coming in the very first round. A long drawn out legal battle with Bellator saw him take a considerable amount of time out before returning to great effect at the back end of 2010.
As for Beltran, he last saw action on the UFC Fight Night 23 card in January, losing a bruising affair to Pat Barry on the night. Prior to that he’d been on a three fight winning streak including a unanimous decision over Tim Hague.
