Speaking to Fighters Only Magazine a spokesman for M-1 Global said:
“It’s unfortunate that the site (LifeSports.ru) has shown little to no journalistic integrity; this is also not the first time their writers have fabricated a story to create attention. Quite simply, it should be ignored. Should there ever be a change in Fedor’s status, rest assured that M-1 would provide an official position.”
The original report came via LifeSports.ru who have in the past supplied reliable information about fighters in eastern European countries such as Fedor, Mirko Cro Cop and Mamed Khalidov. Although those “crazy Russian’s” deny this report there’s normally no smoke without fire and we at MMABay will be keeping a close eye on the situation in the coming weeks.
