UFN 23 – Mark Hominick becomes featherweight number one contender with a first round TKO win over Roop

Canadian Muay Thai specialist, Mark Hominick made a statement and became the UFC featherweight number one contender when he impressively put away George Roop in the first round at UFC Fight Night 23 in Fort Hood, Texas.
Hominick out fast but he’s met by a knee. Roop is cutting him off at the minute as he comes in. Straight right hand from Hominick drops Roop to the ground. Roop back up and he’s circling the octagon. Big left lands from Roop which dazes Roop. Hominick lands a nice right before dropping him with left hook. He follows up with a quick punch to the grounded Roop before the referee waves it off. Impressive!
