UFC/WEC Veteran Jens Pulver Returns To The Cage In March

Jens PulverDespite riding a 6-fight losing streak dating back to 2008, former UFC lightweight champion Jens Pulver will continue to search for another win as he steps back into the cage in March.
“Little Evil” will compete for Chicago Cagefighting Championship on March 5 in Villa Park, Illinois.
MMA Junkie reports that the 36-year old Pulver will face an opponent to be announced.
Pulver’s losing streak began at WEC 34 when he faced then WEC featherweight champion Urijah Faber in a heavily hyped title bout. The two men engaged in a classic five round fight earning them the “Fight of the Night” honors. Pulver, however, ended up losing the fight via unanimous decision.
“Little Evil” would go on to lose a second consecutive bout against Leonard Garcia at WEC 36 in November 2008 via TKO.
Pulver’s losing skid would not stop there as he would go on to drop three straight fights in the WEC via submission, two of them due to a guillotine choke. Pulver was cut by the promotion in June 2010.
His most recent loss occurred in August 2010 at Powerhouse World Promotions’ “War on the Mainland” event when he was submitted by Diego Garijo, again by a guillotine choke.
