Rob Sinclair out of Bellator debut with career threatening injury

It has been reported that British lightweight Rob 'c4' Sinclair is out of his debut at Bellator, Rob was set to face UFC veteran Rich Clementi, in Portland, Oregon, 155lb tournament at Bellator 101 set for Sept 27th.

The news was first revealed by TheFightLounge.com, who spoke with Sinclair's management TFL Sports Agency, and an extraordinary statement was released:

We at TFL Sports Agency are absolutely devastated, as are Rob’s family, team-mates and Bellator MMA. The doctor’s told Rob that a normal man couldn’t fully recover from his injury and certainly couldn’t compete in a sport such as MMA again. Luckily for everybody though, Rob isn’t a normal man – he is an extremely well-tuned athlete with grit and pure determination. He is set to undergo surgery and then spend time with the physio to get back to what he was before the freak accident. This is just a set back; Rob will be back and will be once again aiming to to win the Bellator belt.”
