STOP THE PRESSES… UFC could touch down in Birmingham, England on November 5th after all

It has today been revealed that the UFC are planning to hold an event in the UK after all before the year is out, with a November 5th date targeted for an show in Birmingham, England at the 16,000-seat LG Arena at the National Exhibition Centre.
Sources close to the situation revealed the news to MMAJunkie.com earlier today with MMABay.co.uk also confirming the possibility of a show just moments later.
The event is thought to be more of a ‘Fight Night’ style event despite the expected high attendance although it could still be a regular numbered event like UFC 138. This would of course mean the heavyweight title clash between Cain Velasquez and Junior dos Santos would be bumped to UFC 139 later that month.
The event in the UK, IF it takes place, would likely air on a taped-delay in the U.S. on SPIKE TV and feature a number of mid-tier fighters and the usual sprinkling of British talent looking to break through. Stay tuned to MMABay for more on this situation as we get it.
