Cung Le says now the UFC and Strikeforce are under the same umbrella all bets are off

Former Strikeforce middleweight champion, Cung Le has been speaking further of his desire to make his debut inside the octagon later this year at UFC 138 in San Jose, California and why all of a sudden he’s made this a priority after years of resisting.
Speaking via MMAWeekly.com, Le said:
“Right now I don’t have any fights lined up, but I actually reached out to Dana (White) and Lorenzo (Fertitta) and let them know that I would love to fight in the UFC, so we’ll see. I had a Strikeforce contract and I was loyal to them and Scott Coker because we’ve been friends for so long, but now that everything’s under one umbrella, it will be an honor to fight for the UFC.
“As soon as I found out that Cain (Velasquez) is fighting in San Jose (Calif. at UFC 138) in November, I would definitely be open to being on that card. I think that would be pretty cool.”
The Vietnamese-American hasn’t been seen since he picked up a TKO win over Scott Smith inside the Strikeforce cage, avenging the first loss of his professional mixed martial arts career. Would you like to see this classic martial artist take on “The Crippler” inside the octagon? Tell us what you think…
