Scott Coker reveals winner of Daley vs. Woodley could compete for the title, teases major new signing at 170 pounds

Strikeforce CEO, Scott Coker has today revealed that the welterweight clash between Paul “Semtex” Daley and Tyron Woodley could see the winner challenge for the vacant title at 170 pounds before teasing a mystery new signing who could also stick his nose into the title picture.
Speaking via MMAJunkie.com, Coker said:
“I would say the winner of that fight we’re definitely keeping our eye on. I think by the end of the year, you’ll see a title fight happening.”
“We’re about to sign another fighter that until it’s done I don’t want to say who it is. It’s possible (the new fighter could immediately fight for a title). Maybe we’ll give him one fight, and we’ll see what happens. But I definitely think the experience will speak for itself.”
It will be very interesting to see who Strikeforce are on the verge of signing and whether it is a surplus roster member from the UFC ranks. Does this make the Daley vs. Woodley fight in effect a number one contenders fight? Tell us what you think…
