Chael Sonnen vs. Lyoto Machida not happening according to a well placed source close to the UFC

It has tonight been revealed that the heavily rumoured light heavyweight clash between trash talker, Chael Sonnen and former champion, Lyoto Machida will not be going down as first expected after a source close to the situation ruled it out.
The source revealed the news to MMAJunkie.com just hours ago, explaining it was originally entertained for the UFC 136 card in Texas but the promotion has decided to go in a different direction.
Sonnen’s next fight will be his first since he was suspended for taking banned substances prior to his UFC 117 bout with middleweight champion, Anderson Silva. He has since repeatedly called out the karate master.
Machida snapped a two-fight losing streak to Mauricio “Shogun” Rua and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson when he spectacularly knocked out Randy Couture with a flying front kick to the face back in April in Toronto.
