Strikeforce 'Diaz vs Daley' results: Gegard Mousasi vs Keith Jardine fight to a majority draw

Keith Jardine made his return to Zuffa tonight, April 9, 2011, at the Strikeforce: "Diaz vs. Daley" event in a light heavyweight tilt against Gegard Mousasi.
"The Dean of Mean," both a fan favorite and a fighter UFC officials were always rather fond of, was hoping to take one giant step back toward a return trip to the Octagon.
The crowd was clearly behind the Greg Jackson product but once again, he ran into a heavy-hitting striker whose hands were too much to handle.
Jardine did his best to utilize a strong wrestling game while Mousasi worked a strong boxing game. The result of which, combined with a point deduction in the first round against Gegard, was a majority draw.

Jardine showed he brought plenty of heart to the cage with him tonight -- a short notice fight, no less -- but Gegard was the superior striker. His power punching battered and busted up the UFC veteran.
The bout saw multiple stoppages by the referee (who was sporting the greatest beard of all time), who had to stop the action due to an errant nutshot, an illegal upkick and a flying mouthpiece.
The CompuStrike numbers used directly after the fight by Showtime show a win for Mousasi but the judges didn't agree.
