(London.6th April 13) UCMMA holds its second event under the governance of UK MMA medical body, Safe MMA. UCMMA 33 takes place at London’s Troxy (UK) with all competing professional MMA fighters medically cleared by Safe MMA.
The event also showcases one Amateur (Semi-Professional) MMA bout between Jakub Wegrzeck and Pat Hill and two K1 fights, which do not fall under Safe MMA.
Unfortunately, Scott Saward, who was medically cleared to fight, is no longer competing as his opponent did not undergo his Safe MMA tests in time for the event.
Promoter, Dave O’Donnell, said:
"Yes, it’s hard work. The fighters need to get themselves in order and not leave it to the last minute. Again, a massive achievement for Safe MMA. A lot of hard work, sweat and tears goes into it but in the long run it’s better for the sport; and that’s all we can do is to do our best.”

Talk about promoting safe MMA when Jamaine Facey was allowed to fight weighing in at 72kg (FIGHTING FOR A LIGHTWEIGHT 70KG BELT!!!) and also be allowed to continue fighting after cheap and illegal shots i.e. attempted takedown, landed 2 elbows and muay thai clinch! This 'man' walked in the cage weighing 81kg and being a Trainer is meant to be setting an example to younger, up and coming fighters. Yet he didn't make weight, didn't turn up to the press conference, slapped an individual round the face in the crowd on his walk down, fought dirty and after the Knock Out stood over him making abusive gestures to a gentleman and very respectful fighter. This just goes to show how much of a shambles this organisation is, the fact Jamaine was allowed to get away with all that he did and not to mention REFUSING to give Jordan Wright money from his purse even though it is stated in his contract to do so. Jordan Wright was completely respectful from beginning to end which was more than can be said for Jamaine Facey. Jamaine Facey is an embarrassment to MMA and after last night's performance I would be disgusted to say this man had a contract with my organisation.
