Evangelista “Cyborg” Santos has signed with the Texas-based Legacy Fighting Championship

Sherdog confirmed the signing with LFC President Mick Maynard, though terms of the deal were not disclosed. MMAJunkie.com first reported the news on Saturday evening.

A former light heavyweight and middleweight talent, Santos has more recently competed as a welterweight, knocking out Marius Zaromskis in his 170-pound debut two years ago. Since that time, “Cyborg” has fought just twice, failing in his attempt to win the Strikeforce welterweight title from then-champion Nick Diaz in January 2011 and then suffering a technical knockout defeat to Canadian prospect Jordan Mein eight months later at “Barnett vs. Kharitonov.”
