Thiago Alves injured, out of UFC 149 bout with Siyar Bahadurzada

It has not been a good day for the UFC 149 card. After news of Thiago Silva's injury earlier today, another Thiago has been forced out of the event.

According to a report from MMAWeekly.com, Thiago Alves has suffered an injury, taking him out of a bout with Siyar Bahadurzada on the July 21 event. Bahadurzada was himself an injury replacement, stepping in to the fight against Alves when Yoshihiro Akiyama pulled out of the card.

The UFC is searching for a replacement opponent for Bahadurzada on the card.

Alves was hoping to bounce back from a loss to Martin Kampmann in March, and now he'll be sidelined for an unknown length of time
