Fedor's management denies any talks with UFC

It was reported earlier that Fedor Emelianenko’s team were supposedly back in negotiations with the UFC following his win over Jeff Monson at the weekend. Supposedly his first match with the UFC would be Cain Velasquez.

But that was denied when Fighters Only made enquiries with Fedor’s management group later in the day. The reports were dismissed as having “no substance."

Far more likely is that Fedor’s team will try and earn him a slot on the collaborative New Year’s Eve card taking place in Japan on December 31st.

Instead of being a K-1 Dynamite show - that company’s troubles have silenced it for now - the traditional New Year’s Eve fight show will be a mixture of DREAM bouts and matches from IGN professional wrestling.
