Johnson (12-9, 3-3) last appeared at UFC Fight Night 24 in March, when he submitted to second-round elbow strikes from Amir Sadollah at the Key Arena in Seattle. The 29-year-old West Jordan, Utah, native trains under Jeremy Horn at the Elite Performance gym. Wins over former King of the Cage champion Michael Guymon and International Fight League veteran Brad Blackburn anchor Johnson’s resume.
A quarterfinalist on Season 13 of “The Ultimate Fighter,” Harvison (9-3, 1-1 UFC) last fought at UFC Fight Night 25 in September, when he succumbed to a second-round rear-naked choke from Seth Baczynski at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans; the defeat snapped his three-fight winning streak. Harvison, a 31-year-old Marietta, Ga., native, has never suffered consecutive losses as a professional.
A five-round heavyweight title fight pairing undefeated champion Cain Velasquez against once-beaten contender Junior dos Santos will headline UFC on Fox 1.
