UFC 137 tickets sold out within hours of being made available to the public

Despite the game of musical chairs played at the top of the UFC 137: "St. Pierre vs. Diaz Condit" fight card, tickets to the Oct. 29 pay-per-view event, which will be held at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, sold out within just a few hours of being made available for public consumption.
Did you expect any less?
Here's what UFC President Dana White had to say about the news:
"It's been a crazy few days here at UFC, but there's no doubt that UFC 137 is going to be an incredible card. GSP is on his way to becoming the best welterweight of all-time, but Condit wants that belt. He's knocked out his last three opponents and couldn't be more fired up for this fight. Plus, we've got BJ Penn taking on Nick Diaz in what could be one of the most intense fights of the year."
"Crazy few days" may not be the right way to describe it. Utter and absolute insanity is more like it.
After Nick Diaz no-showed consecutive press conferences to promote the UFC 137 event, he was very publicly removed from his main event match-up against Georges St. Pierre.
The promotion chose to replace him with another top welterweight contender who was already scheduled to compete on the card against B.J. Penn, Carlos Condit.
This left both Diaz and Penn in the lurch but the UFC added one + one and got two and now those two will square off in the co-main event of the evening.
Presumably, the winners and losers will square off at a later date. Strikeforce heavyweight tournament? Pshaw. UFC welterweight tournament.
