(TUF) season eight finalist Phillipe Nover signs with Bellator

Once hailed as the "lightweight Anderson Silva" by UFC President Dana White in a fit of regrettable hyperbole, Phillipe Nover is looking to get his career back on track with Bellator Fighting Championships.
"The Filipino Assassin" fought his way to the finals of the eighth season of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) but never found his groove in the UFC, going 0-3 in the promotion before getting his walking papers.
Nover is scheduled to meet submission ace Marcin Held at Bellator 59 this upcoming November and he confirmed the news through his twitter account yesterday:
Yes it is true! I'm signed to Bellator Fighting Championship and I'll be fighting on November 26th live at Caesars Atlantic City on MTV2!
After an 18 month layoff, Nover earned his first victory in over four years this past August at Hoosier Fight Club 8 against the Greg Jackson-trained Jake Murphy. Nover defeated Murphy via unanimous decision.
His upcoming opponent, Marcin Held, is a very dangerous submission grappler. Held faced eventual Bellator season four lightweight tournament winner Michael Chandler in the quarterfinals this past March and had the wrestler on the ropes with a series of leg locks. He was eventually overwhelmed but he is a highly competent Brazilian jiu-jitsu player. Held got back on track last week in Australia with a first round kneebar in just 55 seconds.
